Why use these indicators?
- Track education resource allocation and find where resources are inadequate on teachers, infrastructure, instruction time, learning materials etc.
- Guide equity focused interventions and advocacy
- Guide planning for teacher deployment, training and materials distribution
Example user cases
- High Student Teacher Ratio -> Advocate for urgent deployment of additional teachers or teacher incentives to reduce overcrowding and improve learning conditions
- Low average instructional time per week -> Support catch up or remedial classes, AEP, to compensate for lost instructional time
- Low proficiency in reading -> Design targeted reading interventions (literacy camps, remedial sessions), linking access with actual learning
