Assignment Title: Create Your First Virtual Classroom in Google Classroom
Purpose
This activity helps you apply your learning by setting up a virtual classroom using Google Classroom. You will create a class, share a resource, invite learners, and post your classroom link in Moodle to demonstrate your progress.
Instructions
- Sign in to your Google account. If you do not have one, create a free account at https://accounts.google.com/signup.
- Go to Google Classroom:

Click the “+” symbol and select Create class. Give your class a name (for example: ICT Integration Practice). - Add content to your class:
- Post a welcome message under the Stream tab (e.g., “Welcome to my first virtual classroom!”).
- Under Classwork, create one topic (e.g., “Week 1: ICT in Education”).
- Add one resource (PDF, video, or Google Doc).
- Optionally, post a question or assignment (e.g., “What is one benefit of virtual learning?”).
- Invite learners or peers: Click “People” and invite at least one colleague or student by email, or share your class code.
- Copy your classroom URL: From your class homepage, copy the full web address (URL) from your browser’s address bar.
- Take a screenshot of your Google Classroom homepage showing your class name and uploaded content.
- Submit your work in Moodle:
- Upload your screenshot.
- Paste your Google Classroom URL in the text box provided below.
- Write a short reflection (2–3 sentences) about your experience.
- Example: “It was easy to create a class and add materials, but I need more practice organizing topics.”
Note: If connectivity is limited, simulate a classroom setup with a WhatsApp group or offline Moodle
Assessment Criteria
- Created a Google Classroom (visible in screenshot).
- Added at least one resource or assignment.
- Posted the classroom URL in Moodle.
- Included a short reflection (2–3 sentences).
