Create a 5-10 Slide Presentation
Task
Part A — Teacher Presentation (You create)
Design a 5–10 slide PowerPoint that supports a topic you actually teach in your subject. The presentation should:
- Explain or demonstrate one concept from your syllabus
- Use at least two multimedia elements (e.g. image, video, audio, animation, screenshot, diagram)
- Be designed for classroom delivery (clear, readable, structured)
- Include one slide that prompts class discussion or reflection
Example topics: Photosynthesis, Profit & Loss, Map reading skills, Grammar rules, Citizenship concepts, Lab safety, etc.
Part B — Student Activity (For your learners to do using PowerPoint)
Create a task that your students would complete using PowerPoint. This should be written as instructions to learners inside one slide or in a separate document. The task must:
- Require learners to create a short (3–5 slide) presentation
- Involve research or explanation of part of your lesson
- Be assessable by you or by peers
For example:
“In groups of 3, create a 4–slide PowerPoint explaining the stages of mitosis. Include at least one labelled diagram and one animation or transition. Be ready to present to class.”
or
“Prepare a 3–slide presentation showing 3 causes of water pollution in your community. Use images and write short bullet explanations.”
What to Upload to Moodle
Upload one ZIP folder or two separate files containing:
- Your teacher PowerPoint presentation
- The written student task instructions (either: as a final slide OR as a Word/PDF page)
