Watch the following video on engaging Learners through WhatsApp
Attempt Assessment for Lesson 1 to test your understanding.
Learning Activity
- Create a new WhatsApp group and name it after your subject and class (e.g., Form 3 Mathematics Class).
- Add at least two of your fellow teachers to act as your students.
- Post a short welcome message to introduce the purpose of the group (e.g., “Welcome to our Mathematics Learning Group! This group is for sharing learning resources and discussing class topics.”).
- Set and post two simple group rules (e.g., “1. Respect all members. 2. Post only learning-related content.”).
- Share one short learning material related to your subject — this can be a short text explanation, an image, or a short video clip.
- Post one question or short task related to the material shared (e.g., “What is the main idea from this image?” or “Solve this problem and post your answer.”).
- Respond to at least one participant’s message with feedback or encouragement (e.g., “Good job! You’re correct because…”).
- Take a screenshot of your WhatsApp group showing your welcome message, learning material, question, and one response.
- Share the screenshot in the Discussion Forum.
