Reflecting on ICT-supported Assessment

Digital assessment is not only about using tools — it is about selecting appropriate technologies, applying them in meaningful ways, enabling learners to participate in feedback processes, and doing so ethically and responsibly.

In this discussion, reflect on your own context and respond to the following in one post:

  1. Concept of Digital Assessment ToolsIn your subject and level, what type of assessment task could realistically be moved from paper to a digital tool? Why that task?

  2. Applying Online Digital Tools: Which specific tool (e.g. Google Forms, Moodle Quiz, Kahoot, Survey tool, LMS) would you choose for that task, and what advantage does that tool bring to learning or feedback?

  3. Peer & Self-Assessment: How could learners play a role in evaluating their own work or their peers’ work in that activity? What would you need to prepare learners for before doing so?

  4. Data Privacy & Ethical Use
    — What risks to learner privacy or fairness might arise when using that tool, and what actions would you take to ensure ethical and safe assessment practice?

After posting your response, read at least one colleague’s contribution and reply with one constructive suggestion or one question that helps them refine their idea.
